General Notice

All plumbing services provided by PipeWrench Plumbing are subject to the terms outlined here. While we strive to offer reliable and code-compliant solutions, plumbing systems are inherently complex and subject to age, wear, water quality, improper use, or previous installation issues that may impact results. We aim to be transparent and professional, but cannot control every variable.

No Warranty on Pre-Existing Conditions

We are not responsible for:

  • Hidden leaks or corrosion that were undetectable during initial inspection
  • Damage caused by DIY work, improper installations, or outdated piping systems
  • Structural, electrical, or HVAC issues that fall outside our licensed scope
  • Plumbing failures due to aging systems, tree root invasion, or hard water scaling

Repairs and Emergency Work Disclaimer

Repair services are designed to restore function based on current symptoms. In some cases, a repair may reveal other issues within your plumbing system. PipeWrench Plumbing is not liable for:

  • Future leaks or breakdowns in unrelated or connected components
  • Emergencies where repairs are performed under urgency and long-term testing isn’t possible
  • Service limitations caused by weather, safety concerns, or restricted access

Water Heater Services

Installation and repair of water heaters (tank and tankless) are performed per code. However:

  • Units must be maintained per manufacturer recommendations
  • Fluctuations in temperature, pressure, or sediment buildup may impact performance
  • We are not responsible for damage caused by water quality, power surges, or user error
  • Manufacturer warranties (e.g., Bradford White, A.O. Smith) are honored when we install the unit but must be registered and used per their terms

Leak Detection and Pipe Services

Pipe leaks, slab leaks, and water line failures can have multiple causes. We use best-in-class equipment, but:

  • Some leaks may require invasive access (e.g., wall, floor removal)
  • Older systems may experience secondary failures after primary repairs
  • Full repiping may be recommended if multiple weak points are found

We are not responsible for:

  • Hidden mold, asbestos, or pest infestations discovered during work
  • Cosmetic damage unless specified for repair in writing

Remodel Plumbing & Shower Installations

Remodel work often involves collaboration with other contractors and trades. We are responsible only for:

  • Plumbing connections, pressure tests, and rough-in layout to local code
  • Shower valve installation, mixing valves, and hot/cold balancing

We do not perform tile, drywall, cabinetry, or waterproofing unless specifically contracted.

Repiping Services

For full or partial repiping:

  • Temporary water shutoffs are required and will be communicated in advance
  • We use PEX, copper, or CPVC depending on job specs
  • Wall/ceiling access is required; restoration is not included unless written

PipeWrench is not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing valve failures or corrosion damage not discovered before repipe
  • Failures of fixtures not replaced during the repipe

Faucet, Valve & Fitting Installations

We install fixtures using professional-grade fittings. However:

  • Leaks caused by worn or defective customer-supplied faucets are not covered
  • DIY or used fixtures are installed “as-is” and are not warrantied
  • Warranty applies only to parts we supply and install

Fixtures and Appliance Limitations

We do not guarantee function or warranty for any appliance, toilet, or fixture that:

  • Was not purchased or installed by PipeWrench
  • Is refurbished, used, or non-standard
  • Has manufacturer defects or improper settings

Customer-supplied parts are installed at your own risk.

Use of Website and Communications

By using our website or submitting a contact form, you agree that:

  • Information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge
  • We may contact you by phone, email, or SMS regarding scheduling or offers
  • Communications are for service facilitation and do not create a binding agreement
